Biography

The Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation was established in 1991 by the decision of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Eid al-Thani, president of the General Authority for Youth and Sports at the time under the name of the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Association after a request submitted by a number of lovers and lovers of the game at that time, led by Mr. Abdul Aziz Bin Khalifa Al-Attiyah, who took over the position of vice president in the first formation of the board of directors of the association while the presidency took over his Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Ghanem bin Ali al-Thani, who was also considered one of the most supportive of the game at the beginning of its appearance the association continued its work for nearly two years until 1993 where it participated in the first Gulf Championship For snooker in the United Arab Emirates as well as the association organized the second Gulf Snooker Championship in Doha in February 1993, the name of the association was changed to a union at the end of the year 97.
